Psalm 110
1: This is the declaration of the Lord
to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies your footstool.”
This is quoted directly at least 5 times in the New Testament. Peter quotes it to the crowds on Pentecost in Acts 2 explaining that Jesus was both Lord (kýrios – a person exercising absolute ownership rights) and Messiah.
