About
We are a non-denominational church which believes that the Bible is the inspired word of God and that Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God. We believe in the autonomy of the local church and its independence from all ecclesiastical control. We are also non-exclusive. Members of our local church may participate in the activities of other churches.
History
We began as the Dummer Community Church. Over the years our congregation grew from the surrounding communities. Because of that and our desire to lift up the name of Christ rather than a location, we changed our name to Word of God Christian Church. We pray that you will be blessed and perhaps join us for worship.
Purpose
We are here to:

Worship the Living God (John 4:23-24, Psalm 29:2, Hebrews 12:28-29)

Defend the truth of God's Word (2 Tim. 2:1-2, 1 Tim. 3:15, 1 Peter 3:15, Isaiah 40:8)

Disciple the members of the congregation through preaching, teaching, exhortation, and example (Eph. 4:11-14, 2 Timothy 2:2, Colossians 3:16)

Proclaim the gospel of salvation and make disciples of all nations (Matt.28:18-20, Romans 10:14-15, 2 Corinthians 5:20)

Strengthen the church body through sharing the Lord’s Supper, baptism, prayer, fellowship and showing true brotherly love (1 Corinthians 11:23-25, Acts 2:38, Acts 2:42, John 13:34-35, Hebrews 10:24-25)
