Bible Reading Plan 8/2 to 8/8
Path 1: New Testament and Psalms
In Psalms 139–141, David worships the Lord who searches, knows, forms, and leads His people. God’s presence reaches from heaven to Sheol, His thoughts are precious, and David asks God to guard his speech, clean his heart, and protect him from the snares of the wicked.
Known Before Birth: Psalm 139:16 teaches that the Lord knows each person before any of our days unfold. Our lives are not accidents of biology, place, or timing. God’s providence writes our days with perfect wisdom, giving comfort, humility, and purpose to every faithful person, household and church.
Path 2: Old Testament Pentateuch/History
In Joshua 21–22, the Levites receive cities among Israel’s tribes, showing that worship and instruction are woven throughout the land. God gives rest from surrounding enemies, and the eastern tribes build an altar of witness, seeking unity with their brothers while guarding covenant worship.
